The how and why of her hospitalization is slowly revealed in bits and pieces as she inches her way back to a normal life. She does not remember what happened or how she came to be there. This causes her no small level of panic as her life was movement – she was a dancer. Penelope Sparrow wakes up in the hospital seemingly unable to move. I cannot say I liked the book but it was one of those books that was well worth reading. It was in no way easy to read and at times I was so very frustrated with the main character I wanted to shake her. This is a very thought provoking book about dreams reached and lost, about body image, about love. She lives in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with her husband.
